Iloilo Campus Celebrates Nutrition Month 2019

The Senior High School department conducted their Nutrition Month 2019 with the theme: “Kumain nang wasto at maging aktibo… Push natin ‘to!” last July 31, 2019 at the P.E Room. This celebration aimed to promote the consumption of healthy diets, increased physical activity, and reduced sedentary behavior through activities of daily living among individuals and families. The observation of the Nutrition Month was led by the National Nutrition Council (NCC).

During the Nutrition Month celebration, they were given ideas on the guidelines on healthy food and beverage choices. It was also a good avenue in the promotion and development of healthy eating habits among the youth and the role of teachers and canteen seller in making available healthy, nutritious, affordable menu choices, and setting food standards. They had poster making contest, slogan, quiz bee, feeding of healthy food and nutrigames to strengthen their knowledge and practice in eating the right food and becoming physically active.

Thus, the activity was jam-packed and effective in encouraging our senior high school learners to value their health and eventually practice a good lifestyle. It was also great in making our learners think and realize their future as early as now.  We all need to PUSH each other so we can all become physically fit. PUSH PA NATIN YAN!
