Iloilo TESDA-PESFA Training Induction Program

Interface Computer College (Iloilo Branch) was given another opportunity to open TESDA-PESFA scholarship grant to grade 10 completers and college undergraduate in Computer Systems Servicing NCII for 280 hours. It was a great avenue especially for students who belong to the less fortunate family. It would also equip them in becoming computer literate and acquire employment later on.

The PESFA Program has been established through Section 8 of Republic Act No. 8545, otherwise known as the Expanded Government Assistance to Students and Teachers in Private Education (GASTPE) Act. The program aims to extend financial assistance to marginalized but deserving students in technical-vocational education and training (TVET) courses and to assist private institutions in their development efforts by assuring a steady supply of enrollees to their course offerings.

The training Induction program was held at Room 304 to inform our students with the policies of TESDA, inclusion of their scholarship and the procedures. It was conducted by Ms. Shiela Judilla, TESDA (Region VI) representative. Ms. Mary Faith Igtanloc and Ms. Recy Beth Escopel have conducted general orientation afterwards which gave them awareness about the school and its policies. Mr. Oliver V. Regacho as the institution’s trainer has also given short reminders especially with their attendance during their training.
