Interface Computer College Held the 3rd Pinning and Candle Lighting Ceremony

           August 20, 2025, Iloilo City- The Interface Computer College- Iloilo Campus successfully held its 3rd Pinning and Candle Lighting Ceremony on August 20, 2025 at the Days Hotel by Wyndham Iloilo. The solemn occasion marked a significant milestone in the academic journey of the fourth-year students from various degree programs. The symbolic rite highlighted their transition from being students to full-fledged student intern, who bear greater responsibilities as they step on to their professional journey.

           The atmosphere inside the hall was engulfed with mixed emotions—profound joy, anticipation, pride, and honor—shared by students, teachers, and parents alike. The ceremony began with a solemn processional march. The ceremony was graced by Mrs. Rosela A. Rojo, a long-time faculty member of the college, who served as the Inspirational Speaker. Mrs. Rojo delivered a powerful message of hope and imparted wisdom taken from her experiences as a working professional and as a mother to her children. She espoused the value of strength as a potent tool in surmounting life and career challenges. Her inspiring, motivating, and challenging words propelled the students to display unwavering dedication, professionalism, enormous courage, and indomitable spirit as they face the demands of their internship journey and future careers.

          The distinguished campus key personnel were also present to share this momentous occasion with the students. Present in during the ceremony was Ms. Sylvia A. Villarosa, MAEd (CAR), ICC Iloilo’s School Administrator, who officially and warmly welcomed the students and parents to the ceremony. She was joined Mr. by Ronnel C. Catiempo, LPT, Head of the Office of Student Affairs, who formally introduced the Pinning Ceremony’s inspirational speaker, and Ms. Joan A. Soldevilla, Internship Program Adviser, who endorsed the candidates to the School Administrator for confirmation and send-off. Their presence underscored the value of the institution’s unwavering guidance, support, and collaboration for the students’ journey towards professional growth.

         The ceremony highlighted the solemn placing of the students’ name plate on their left chest, symbolizing their affiliation with their degree program and the institution. They are expected to carry the name of the institution with a great sense of pride and nobility as they embark on their internship journey to the various industries relevant to their field of expertise. It was followed by a solemn candle lighting, where students lit their candles, symbolizing their transformation into bearers of knowledge, hope, and responsibility.

        The 3rd Pinning and Candle Lighting Ceremony was not only an occasion that heralded their transition, but it was a celebration of their unrelenting dedication and perseverance in reaching this academic milestone. As the Batch Manawari, Class of 2026 moves forward and takes the path toward their professional journey, they are called to walk in the light of wisdom and commitment to spark innovation and make meaningful contributions to their respective professional fields.
