SLEPT 2024: Shaping the Future Leaders of Tomorrow

San Miguel, Iloilo – The Student Leadership Enhancement Training Program (SLEPT) 2024 successfully convened aspiring young leaders on December 7, 2024, at Camp GoDucate, San Miguel, Iloilo. With the theme “Student Leaders: The Prime Movers of Change,” the event aimed to empower and develop leadership skills among student leaders.
SLEPT 2024 provided a dynamic platform for participants to engage in workshops, team-building activities, and leadership discussions. The program focused on enhancing decision-making, critical thinking, and communication skills, equipping student leaders with the necessary tools to drive positive change in the institutions.
Renowned leadership mentors and facilitators guided the attendees through insightful sessions, emphasizing the importance of responsibility, collaboration, and adaptability in leadership. Participants were also challenged through interactive simulations and problem-solving exercises that tested their ability to lead under pressure. One of the key speakers, Ms. Lemy V. Borreros, Rpm, emphasized the importance of adaptability and collaboration, stating, “True leadership is about inspiring others and working together to create a positive impact.”
“The experience was truly transformative. It gave us the confidence and motivation to step up as young leaders and be catalysts for change” said Cheryl Tayo- SG Board Member.
SLEPT 2024 concluded with a commitment ceremony, where participants pledged to apply their learnings in school and communities. Organizers and mentors expressed their gratitude to all involved, highlighting the significance of continuous leadership development among the youth.
According to Mr. Ronnel C. Catiempo, one of the organizers, “SLEPT 2024 is more than just a training program. It’s a movement that empowers young leaders to step up and lead with integrity and purpose.”
The event reaffirmed that student leaders are at the forefront of change, ready to inspire and create a positive impact in society. As SLEPT continues to nurture young minds, it sets a foundation for future leaders to act and lead with integrity, vision, and purpose.
SLEPT 2024 successfully reinforced the notion that today’s student leaders are indeed the prime movers of change, proving that with the right guidance and mindset, they can shape a brighter future for all.
