Heralding A New Era for the College's Internship Program: ICC Inks Partnership with New Partner Industries


Iloilo City, Philippines August 1, 2024- A very lucid future comes ahead for the Interface Computer College fourth-year students who will undergo experiential learning and training as the college expands its Student Internship Program by cementing linkages with new partner industries.

The onset of August literally anticipates an exciting partnership as the college officially sealed its new connection through a meeting and MOA (Memorandum-of-Agreement) signing between the college key personnel and key officials of GECO Philippines, Inc. and Accentline, Inc.

GECO Philippines, a Singapore-based I.T Company with a hub in Iloilo City’s major business district warmly welcomes the Interface Computer College’s invitation to be its partner in the experiential training-learning of the fourth-year ITE, Computer, and Business Education students who are taking Internship and Practicum courses. The college is represented by Miss Sylvia A. Villarosa, LPT, School Administrator and Mr. Ronnel C. Catiempo, LPT, Internship Program Coordinator. On the other hand, the GECO Philippines is represented by Mr. Paul Buenvenida, I.T Manager, Ms. Freslin Maderse, HR Ops Specialist, and Ms. Hazel Falle, a representative from their Legal Department. Both party discuss pertinent matters for the seamless endorsement and conduct of the Internship Program. One of the salient points underscored from the discussion is the Internship is the is the exchange of insights akin to guidelines, policies, requirements for the implementation of the said program. The round table discussion concluded with the signing of the Memorandum of Agreement of both party, thereby denoting the affirmation of a nexus where the commitment for excellence and service interface.

On the same day, the college also inks partnership with Accentline Inc., a growing IT-BPO Company based in Iloilo City. Ms. Joan A. Soldevilla, Internship Program Adviser along with Mr. Ronnel C. Catiempo, LPT, Intership Program Adviser, interfaces with the company’s human resource key personnel namely: Ms. Shiela Marie Judicpa and Ms. Jennifer Gabrillos . The said company warmly welcomes and accommodates the college representatives in their cozy work hub where the exchange of insights about the program and the plans about future partnership transpire. Ms. Judicpa, the company’s HR Officer lauded the college’s efforts and initiatives in expanding its network of partner industries. The said interface with Accentline also concluded with the signing of MOA. 

GECO Philippines and Accentline are the newest addition to the college’s network of partner industries. The said meeting and MOA Signing are in line with the efforts and initiatives of the college to streamline and ameliorate its Student Internship Program by providing the student with the best Internship experience. 

Further, this partnership is a tangible manifestation of the college’s commitment to excellence through an extensive and refined programs that will optimize the technical skills and expand the knowledge of the students relevant to their field of expertise.
